The Lesson with Constable Julie

Thanks to Constable Julie for the chart.
Today Constable Julie came to Room 7 and taught us about  'How long would it take for a vehicle to stop if it is going different speeds?'.

Each person stood with a number to show 10 metre arks up to 70 meters. If the car goes 30 kilometres per hour it would take 15 metres to stop.
Constable Julie let us estimate how long would the car need to stop if it goes 24,39,57,79 and 102 kilometres per hour. We stood in a group by the person holding the right number. The faster the car goes the more distance it needs to stop.Even if you have the best protection, you're still vulnerable. This chart shows how fast the vehicle will go per hour and how many metres will it need to stop on.

Tamaki College Sports

On Wednesday 2nd May Glenbrae Senior School walked to Tamaki College to learn different sports. The sport that my group played was Gymnastic. The teenagers that taught us was in the 12 years. It wasn't really Gymnastic it was a game like Octopus,Stuck in the mud,Trust fall and Relays. It was really really fun.To catch the person who's falling,we had to use our arms and muscles to catch them.I felt excited because it was a fun group that we played on.

ANZAC Day

ANZAC Day is a day to remember the New Zealand soldier who fought in the war and try their best to survive.People wear those red flowers, they are called Poppies.Poppies is another way to show respect on ANZAC.I really like soldiers because they train very hard and they help other countries in war.In the olden days,New Zealand saved Britain from being attacked by German planes.I would want to be a soldier when I grow up.If you are interested CLICK ME to know more.
