Lonely

In the park
It’s busy on the see-saw,
Long and strong lifting
Children balancing.
Fulcrum still standing
Holding this simple machine.
At night, sitting there all cold, wet and lonely
Is the see-saw
Waiting for excited children to return.

  1. What a lovely poem about a simple machine - the humble see-saw.
    Well done Lisiate!

  2. I love your poem Lisiate. You have made this so much more interesting by describing the see-saw as a machine rather than just a playground toy.

    Well done
