Horse Riding
Horse Riding
One day the students at our language school went horse riding. None of us had ridden a horse before. We were excited and nervous.
The horses varied in size. My horse was small and dark brown. My friend, Masa, rode a large white horse. All the horses had saddles, stirrups, bridles and reins. We all wore helmets.
First we rode around the farm. We went through many gates and across many paddocks. Jimmy, who is the scientist at our school, was curious about his horse. He pulled hairs out of the horse’s mane to study them. The horse objected. It bucked Jimmy off. Everyone shouted with laughter.
I wanted my horse to go faster so I kicked its sides. It began to trot. Trotting is very uncomfortable. I bumped up and down in the saddle. Later, we rode along side of the road. There was a lot of grass and our horses were hungry. It was difficult pulling their heads up. We enjoyed horse riding very much. We all agreed we’d like to do it again.

Our last activity was the Water Slide. We had to fill half a bottle and slide down the waterslide. When you stop sliding run to the coloured bin and pour the water out.
Time’s up,everyone tired, puffed and exhausted.Everyone felt happy and excited.People soaking wet and covered in grass.I felt so happy after those hard work everybody had done. That was a good exercise for the day.Everybody can’t wait until next for the Water Fun Day.

Bio Poem
Lisiate
Kind, generous and funny
Lover of ice-cream, video games and music
Who feels happy when he sees his friends
Who wonders if there’s another world after we die
Who fears spiders, ghosts and haunted buildings
Who would like to have a really good education with scholarship
Who is able to achieve all his goals this year
Who dreams that he would take his family around the world
Kind, funny and generous is me
Swimming Recount
WOOHOO!!Room 10 went swimming at the Glenbrae pools. There were three instructors from Auckland Sport. The water was so cold my veins was going to freeze.
First, they chose 6 people and tested us.After they tested us,they gave us a number to each person from 1 to 3.
Then, the instructors split us up into three different groups.I was in group 3,that was the top group.
Later on,he taught us strokes, arm circles, backstrokes and breathing while freestyling. My legs was so tired I wanted to stop in the middle of the pool and get out.
Sometime later,I will practice my strokes and breathing.I had a great time with the instructors.I feel happy right now because I know how to breathe while freestyling.
At the end of the session,I felt exhausted.
