Dog fighting in the sky is dangerous job.You have to fight in the sky.If you get hit by a sub-machine gunner,you have a short amount of time to live.You will have to be a brave,strong soldier to be in this kind of situation.

It's the 67th Anniversary of the attack in Omaha Beach.Well,the American soldiers won that war.
D-day stands for Destiny day for America and Dooms day for Germany.

Kayaking at Howick Beach

It was my first time in a kaiyak, but I think I’ve done very well. I think that I’m not good at kayaking,but guess what, I’ve done it.(A little) Well I really appreciate what you have taught us in these lovely lessons.I had a great time there.Thank you.

Nine Division

I got 100% on my division of nine. Let me explain how I work out my answer.

My equation is 54 divided by 9.I change the 54 as the answer and the 9 in its place which leaves to 9x something equals 54.So 9x6=54 so the answer is 6. I hope you like my working out.

West Coast Flood

Heavy rain hits the West Coast of New Zealand in the South Island.The flood was 6.8 metres high.The floods brought down power lines,made road closed and people were stuck in many areas.The good news is that the rain is starting to disappear from the West Coast and the flood is starting to be shallow.

Undersea World

Wow!!The undersea world is amazing.You see different kinds of fish you haven't seen before. Undersea there's a shipwreck from a long time ago and you might find gold or gift from the history times. Undersea is a great place to find different kinds of things.

NZ Orienteering

Do you know what's Orienteering?
Well,Orienteering is a sport.There would be orange marked flags and maps.What you have to do is to solve the fastest way of going to all of the flags so you can be the first to be at the finishing line.If you are in one,I think you are going to do a great job.

Math Magician

Wow! I got 100% on Math Magician.
Let me explain how I work out my problem:

I change everything,for e.g. +9=15 I change the - to + and add the blank number with the nine equals 15 so 6+9=15 and the answer is 6.

Fireworks

Wow!Fireworks are great  to use on Guyfawkes day. We had a great time out there.You just can't imagine what my face looked like when I saw the fireworks explode.
Fireworks are sometimes dangerous. Our fireworks night was great. I felt really delighted. It was one of the best times of my life.

The NZ Giant Weta

Introduction
This report will give you more information about NZ Giant Weta.
The Weta have lived for 190 million years and were around with the dinosaurs.

Physical Features
Male Weta do not have that many spikes on them.They put their back legs up to defend themselves. It has 3 main body parts: the head,the thorax and the abdomen.They also have an exoskeleton.

Diet

The Wetas favourite food is gorse flowers and other invertebrate creatures smaller than itself.

Habitat

Some of the Giant Weta live in the Mahoenui Reserve in Waikato,New Zealand. The reserve is mainly gorse bushes.

Predators

The Weta’s main predator are rats because they are so big and the Weta is small even though they have spikes on their legs.

Main Threats

The weta are threatened by fires that can destroy the bush they live in.

Behaviour

The Giant Weta are very placid (kind and gentle) and the Tree Weta are aggressive.

Conclusion
Wetas are a great insect for New Zealand.They’re like a treasure to us and they are protected from any predators in a Reserve.

Patterns

I am learning my symmetry in Pasifika Patterns.As you can see that the order of rotational symmetry of the pattern is 2 because if you rotate the square it will go to itself 2 times.

Mathmagician

Today I am learning my division in Mathmagician.
I am doing my 3 divided by. I got 100 percent in less than 60 seconds.
Well let see who can get 100 percent in less than 60 seconds.

Seasons

Spring: Spring start a new life and give a chance for the plants to grow. It will make everything go strong.

Summer: We all know summer is hot, it’s a perfect time to get ice blocks, cold drinks and go to the beach. It a exciting season.

Autumn: Leaves fall off trees and spreading the colours of brown, yellow and orange all over the grass. It’s fun playing with leaves, but beware there’s small aliens under the leaves waiting you.

Winter: Winter is SO cold, snow all over the place making you freeze like a human popsicle. Get your fire place on, drink hot cocoa and cover yourself with warm nice blanket.

Comparing unit fractions

Today I am learning my fractions Digital Learning Objects.This shows that Kiri ate more than Manu and that Manu ate 1/4 of the worm and Kiri ate 1/2 of the worm. Kiri win the game.

Minibeast

Today I have been learning about minibeasts in Room 2.Minibeast are small and have no backbones.All of them have their own way of protecting themselves.Minibeast means small animals.

Snow storm in Wellington

A snow fall is covering Wellington like a white blanket. Many of the roads and bridges are closed. Many houses have no electricity so people can't warm themselves. The south pole's dry air has covered the South Island. Travellers' planes have been cancelled in many airports.They will have a very bad time in the freezing cold snow.

Glasses

Are you wearing glasses to school? Well it makes your view different. Some kids or your best friend might laugh at you in your classroom or say polite things about how you look. Glasses have different colours and sometimes different frames. You only get glasses when your vision is blurry and wearing them makes it very easy for you to see.

Looking after Animals

Emperor Penguin

Left:
The picture was taken in the Antarctic where the emperor penguin lived and traveled along way away from his home.

Right:
The penguin was found washed up on a NZ beach and it ate sand because it thought it was ice. It also ate sticks and stones so now it can't couldn't eat properly. Vets have taken out sand, sticks and stones from his stomach and will return him back to his home.

Mitai

Mitai has short, curly black hair and he has a handsome face. Mitai was one of the village’s most handsome men. His brown eyes are as shiny as chocolate and he has a full lips.

Mitai wears a peupeu on his hips. He lives in a village called Maketu. He can transform himself into a bird called a Kereru. His hair is pulled back like a bun and he’s a popular hunter.
