Tread Lightly Caravan

Today Room 10 went to the Tread Lightly.The Tread Lightly Caravan is a programme about the environment.We played a game called Gecko and Vines,it was like snake and ladders.I learnt how to save the environment and protect the earth,by turning the tap off when I’m brushing my teeth and take quicker and shorter shower.Make sure I have a clean one too.

After that,we went to the Caravan.It was fascinating because the had a microscope inside and a touch computer.The microscope was amazing.We can take a small plastic bowl with a dead insect or object inside.We zoomed close and we can see clearly the eyes which had a lot to lenses.The microscope can see what we can’t.

We had to answer questions about ‘Energy,Transport,Food and Waste’.I had a great time.I would like to do it again.

Maths Whizz

Today I learnt how to measure water and measure objects.I got all of them right I am proud of myself.

Orienteering

Today some of the Room 10 people went to Waiatarua Reserve to do Orienteering.It's our first time doing orienteering inter schools.We were very nervous.The most important things about orienteering is speed and map reading.

Next time I go orienteering,I know what to do.I can't wait until next time.It was a good exercise too.It will make us fit.Thank you Nicole for choosing our school to compete with the other schools.I had a really great time there.

Maths Whizz

Today on Maths Whizz I have learnt to measure ml (millilitres),mm (millimetres),kg (kilograms) and g (grams).I am a bit clever from an hour ago.I am proud of myself that I got it right.

Netball Lesson

Today we have just have finished our Netball Session.My team was so gallant and tranquil at the same time.We learnt how to step a defender and block the attacker from throwing the ball.Mrs Raj called out each number.When Mrs Raj was going to call out a number peoples heart pounding so fast,blood pressure rising and their brains telling the body parts to get ready to run as fast as they can and pass the ball.I can't wait until next week for the next session.

Mother's Day

On Mother's Day,we didn't do much at all.All we did was just going to church that's all.I forgot to make breakfast for mum in the morning.Because I was busy playing games.By the way,we helped her and cleaned the house.To be honest,she did most of the work.After church,we went to see our grandpa,because he is very sick.

My sister's plan didn't work,because we didn't go to the shop.But the good thing was,that my mum's cousin came with food and we had a big delicious feast.All was island food.The day was nearly over and we were tired.Her cousin went and we just stayed home doing what we always do in the weekends.My mum and dad sitting in the lounge talking,while Salelei plays games and my sister watching T.V.We kind of had fun.Well I can't wait until Father's.Let's see if the same thing is going to happen my dad or not.

The Ice-Cream Shop Window

Today I read  'The Longest Eel in the World' by John Carr and Illustrated by Michael Wilkin.I am able to understand the story and complete all the related activities.I am proud of myself.
