The Spooky Old Shed
One hundred years ago,an old man named Jinkins use to live in a haunted shed.He was as mean as a pitbull, angry as a bull and had a behavior of a little kid.He use to bully and kill people.
One rainy stormy night,he cursed the shed with secret codes. The next day he wasn’t there. Two weeks passed he still wasn’t there.Police arrived and investigate, they say that he is missing. He was last seen in his old shed.Ten years passed a new house was building in front of his shed and the Henderson Family moved in.They wondered why is there an old shed behind their house. The children thinks it was haunted and it was.One night the Henderson family was getting ready for bed and all of a sudden CLING!!.They all got a big fright. The dad went into the shed and AAAHHH!!The Henderson family worried and after a while later they got tired. They slept and the next morning they didn't see Jason.Daxter ran to the shed and nothing was there. It was all nothing, just dust, spider webs and a small glass vase filled with two faces.Daxter noticed the face“Hey,I recognize this face?...It looks like my dads face and an old man’s face" Suddenly, the vase turned pink and SWOOSH.The vase grabbed Daxter into the vase.Daxter’s face came up in the vase and all was silent,JUST SILENT.
There will be a new face coming up on Part Two.

Story Openers
Here are some story openers that you can use in your narratives:
Loud thumping noises late at night thundering against the floor.
A chilling scream from the garden at dusk scaring me when it was dead silent.
The jingling of keys ringing towards my ears and making my heart pounding hard and worrying about me and my family in the house.
Noises rustling on the roof like a cat scratching the door.
Footsteps thundering against the ground like frankenstein walking to his lab.
Dogs barking like they see ghosts.
“Do you hear that noise” I ask my brother,“Those whistling noises are like ghosts,Do you think our house is haunted?”
I hear this voice while I was asleep,my eyes wide open as big as a watermelon,my heart pounding like it is going to explode and my body shivering like an earthquake.

Back to reality, a man in a suit talked about the volcano and told us to go on a website which has a guide to survive before a volcano erupts. It was very frighting and a bit exciting.
The Auckland War Memorial Museum
The Auckland Museum is a HUGE place filled with historical artifacts of New Zealand. The Maori artifacts and the War Memorial are important New Zealand artifacts.
The Museum looks like the White House but a little browner. It gives it an impressive look.
The Auckland Museum is located in the Auckland Domain, facing the Auckland Harbour Bridge. It was built in 1929. It been there for 110 years. It’s hard work to build the museum. There are three different levels and 30 different displays and galleries.
The Auckland Museum is a major place where you can learn about different cultures. Thousands of schools visit there to learn about cultures and major disasters. It is a perfect place for people to learn about the traditions and customs of the pacific cultures.
All visitors should visit the volcanic room on the first floor. You can sit in a model house and you will experience what it is like during an eruption. On display are volcanic rocks that were used by Maori to warn of eruptions.
The war memorial is on the second floor. In the armoury has lots of weapons, armour and medals from the museum’s collections. Also see the names of New Zealanders from the Auckland Province who died in wars that New Zealand has fought in.
If you live in Auckland and haven’t been you should visit the War Memorial Museum. It is a place where you can learn about New Zealand and Pacific history. Especially, New Zealand’s part in World Wars.

How the Kiwi lost it's wings
Many years ago,Tanemahuta was walking in the forest. Suddenly he saw his kids. They were sick because bugs were eating them.Tanemahuta told his brother Tanehokahoka. Tanehokahoka called a meeting with Tui,Pukeko,Pipiwharauroa and Kiwi.”Tanehokahoka said that he needed someone to go down to the forest floor to look after Tanemahuta’s children.”
Everyone was quiet. Tanehokahoka looked at Tui. Tui spoke in a scared voice,“It’s too dark down there,I’m scared of the dark.”
Tanehokahoka looked at Pukeko,Pukeko said “Tanehokahoka it’s too wet down there,I hate being wet.”
Tanehokahoka took a big breath, and Pipiwharauroa spoke in a worried voice,“I’m busy building my nest for my family.”
Tanehokahoka looked at Kiwi and Kiwi smiled at him.“Kiwi will you look after Tanemahuta’s children?”Kiwi replied,“Yes,I will” Tanehokahoka was happy with Kiwi because he agreed to look after Tanemahuta’s children.
Tanehokahoka and Tanemahuta were happy with Kiwi because he took the risk to look after Tanemahuta’s children and,for his courage.
They warned him that he was going to lose his beautiful wings, and stay on the forest floor forever.Tanehokahoka punished all the other birds.
Tui was asked to wear two white feathers to mark him as a coward. Pukeko was sent to live in the swamp and get wet everyday. Pipiwharauroa was not allowed to build a nest anymore and had to lay eggs in other birds nests.
Kiwi was blessed by Tanemahuta for his courage.Kiwi became the most loved birds of all.He ate all the bugs that were eating Tanemahuta’s children. The Kiwi lived happily down on the forest floor forever.
