My Game Experience

WOOHOO!!
Every Summer Saturday morning,I set off with my team to the Baseball game.But the only problem is that I get nervous,like really nervous.My heart pounds so fast, my body shaking and hungry for the trophy.
I play for Pakuranga Diamond Blacks.

We all got off the bus and started setting up the bases,the bat,helmets,the gloves and the baseballs.The others jogged around the field and I joined them.

Suddenly we saw a blue coloured team jogging behind us That was our rival team called Centrals.

It was 9:00am. Our Coach Kevin shouted,“Guys come and get your gloves on.We are fielding!!”.
We ran as fast as we could to the tarpaulin and grabbed our gloves. Kevin chose nine fielders to go to their positions.I could tell that some of my team already knew that they’re going to be chosen.I got chosen last, that means I was going to be on base 3.

All of a sudden I heard,“BATTER UP!!”.One of the Central team  was batting.We were ready.
WHACK!!! the ball went high and came down fast to where I was standing.I walked three steps backwards and caught the ball.The umpire shouted,“YOU'RE OUT!!”
My team cheered at me and I was very excited.

It was half time.The Centrals were fielding and we were batting andI was first.I was really nervous, like someone was holding a gun to my head.Central number 8 was pitching and he threw so fast that I had to hit the ball.SMASH!!The ball went as far as possible,and I knew that I was going to run all three bases.I ran Base 1,Base 2,Base 3 and I did a slide to Home Base and the umpire shouted,“ONE point for Diamond Blacks”My Team.
My Parents cheered at me.

The game was finished and we celebrated at headquarters.Our coach took out a trophy and said,“The player of the day is Keaton because of his good behavior and impressive sportsmanship”I was disappointed that I didn’t win,because I thought I was the player of the day.

Well  then Zaid’s mum came with delicious marshmallow coated rice bubbles.They were delicious.They tasted like the real marshmallow rice bubbles,but strawberry bubblegum flavour.
My friend Lachlan called out to me,“Lisi!!It’s time to go!!”I set up my equipment and got ready to go home.I said a big goodbye to everyone and walked happily to the van.
I got on and felt really happy and they dropped me at home.I shouted,“BYE!!”to Lachlan and his dad.
He replied back ,“BYE!”
That was the best game that I ever played.

The Rock Warrior

THE PATUPAIAREHE PEOPLE LIVED AROUND THE LAKES OF ROTORUA AT A PLACE CALLED NGONGOTAHA HUNDREDS OF YEARS AGO, THESE PEOPLE WERE FAIR SKINNED AND THEY WERE VERY GOOD GARDENERS.
THE TIPUA PEOPLE WERE GIANTS AND THEY WERE VERY BAD TEMPERED. THESE PEOPLE WANTED TO TAKE THE BEAUTIFUL LAKE AND THE LAND AWAY FROM THE PATUPAIAREHE PEOPLE.

ONE DAY THE TIPUA WAR PARTY MARCHED THROUGH THE MAMAKU FOREST TOWARDS NGONGOTAHA. THE PATUPAIAREHE PEOPLE BECAME VERY SCARED. THEY ASKED THEIR LEADER TO SAVE THEM WITH HIS MAGIC SPELL.
TONGA KOHU LIT A FIRE AND BEGAN CHANTING HIS MAGIC SPELL. SOON THE TIPAU GIANTS STARTED FEELING TIRED AND THEY DECIDED TO STOP MARCHING AND TAKE A REST. AFTER A WHILE THE TIPAU GIANTS WANTED TO MOVE BUT THEY COULD NOT BECAUSE THEY HAD TURNED INTO ROCKS. FINALLY, TONGA KOHU WAS ABLE TO SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM THE TIPAU GIANTS.EVERYONE FELT VERY HAPPY AND CELEBRATED.THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

Depressing Dogs

One hot sunny day at Mission Bay lying down on the hot sand,seeing kids at the beach and people eating fish and chips.Smelling the hot air and tired of hearing laughs,shouting and mostly crying.But wait,I see two unusual things playing around.OH YEAH!!Two dogs at the beach playing together with a tennis ball in its mouth.Running around and splashing at each other.Kids running out from the beach like D-Day.I close my eyes for 5 seconds and I see no dogs.I stand up and when I was about to run,the two dogs came out of the blue and splashed sand at me.I didn’t want to swim because of those two dirty dogs,splashing and drooling in the water.EEEWWW!!!

Cultural Walkthrough Feedback

When I thought about the Cultural Day, it was going to be exciting but when I discovered I was going to be a presenter, I was feeling a bit furious inside.Although it was fun being a presenter because I had two jobs to do being a DJ and a reader, I was disappointed that I couldn't go around all the classes.Fortunately,this morning all the presenters got a turn to visit all the classes.

Malo-lelei.
My name is Lisiate.I was born on April 6th 2000 in Sydney, Australia. My mum and dad met in Australia. I used to go to kindergarten. Everyday we hung out in Sydney like going to the Opera House and going in big ships.I am tongan and I belong to the polynesian group.There are 5 people in my family.My mum Lily, my dad Willie, my sister Alisi and my brother Salelei.

I am interested in war history. I hope to become a soldier one day. I know a little bit about war.The attack on Pearl Harbour happened in 1941.In 1944, American soldiers landed on Omaha Beach to attack the german soldiers  who were trying to take over the world with their leader Hitler.I like to watch movies about World War.I really like tanks because they are strong and shoots out missiles.

My favourite singer is 2pac because I really like the way he tells about his life in his songs.At school I most enjoy writing and reading because writing helps you to spell and write while reading gives you more knowledge.

My goal is to get a scholarship in college because my family would be very proud of me. In my future, I would like to see robots as our equals.The robots will help us do jobs for us if we are busy.If I ruled the world there would be no wars because there will too many losses.The world will be filled with sorrows if it doesn’t stop.

Cultural Walkthrough

Room 8 Iran Room 8 was learning about Iran.They showed us a video of the cities in Iran and showed us their delicious bread.	Room 9 Samoa Room 9 was learning about Samoa.They showed us a movie.They talked about the names and what it means.
Room 10 Niue Room 10 was learning about Niue.We listened to the National Anthem.They said their Mihis in Niuean.They talked about the coconut crab.	Room 1 Netherland Room 1 was learning about Netherlands.The presenters was wearing clogs (Wooden shoes).They make their bread with cinnamon,sugar and butter.
Room 4 Tonga Room 4 was learning about Tonga.They showed us their tapa patterns.They told us what ta’ovala mean.	Room 2 Cook Island Room 2 was learning about Cook Island.They were wearing colourful hats.We even played the Cook Island drum.
Room 7 South Africa Room 7 was learning about South Africa.We presented our presentation to the other classes.We wrote our information in our little booklet.

This term we were learning about three different points to make a good blog comment.The three points are Positive,when you tell them about how good their blog post is,but remember to be specific.Thoughtful,you can answer questions and make connections.Helpful,giving the person a link to what they are interested in or give them more information.I enjoy leaving comments on other peoples blogs because I hope it makes them feel good.It was challenging because some of the posts had  information I couldn't help with,but you can always ask a question like I did below.
